I'm surprised you beat Sharon to it, and Connie already let it go by. Oh well, look at the camera and say, "I'm the amazing jimbeaux and, although I am a comedy writer, I'm NOT smarter than a 5th grader!"

darnit, the editor in me can't help it. these are actually homophones, and i only say so because two of your readers who also happen to be family may call you on it. to be honest, only school teachers or linguistic-type people : ) or wives who can complete the crosswords in the newspaper will care or even know the difference. or homeschool moms who had to brush up on all this stuff in order to look like she knows what she's talking about with her, um, "students."

homophones-words that sound the same but are spelled differently: rain, rein, reign

homonyms-words written and pronounced the same way with different meanings: lie down, tell a lie

then there's the homograph. but, really, who cares?!

Ha! Good stuff. As hard as it is to read, it could've been worse, I suppose. It could've been written in cell phone txt language. LOL, and all that jazz.

It could have been worse. You could have been wearing clown makeup. Even as a child, I knew enough to say on the phone "No! He doesn't dress up like a clown. GEEZ."

And Bronie's still a smart***. Miss you Bronie!!

dang! maybe you should've hung around for the second verse. if you had added a balloon sculpture of say, a vacuum cleaner, to your sales pitch, you could've been the grand poobah of bison. oh well, maybe yours was the better choice after all, as...wait for it...that may have sucked the life right outta ya. haha *snort* ha
